How do I link a third-party debit card to my Netspend ?

The third-party debit card must be registered prior to using it to make any fund transfers to a Netspend . You will need to go to the Debit Card Transfer page in the Online Account Center or mobile app.

The following information is required in order to register a third-party debit card:

  • You need to provide details about the third-party debit card account.
  • You need to verify ownership and access to the third-party debit card. 
    • This is done when you confirm a small, one-time test transaction (less than $1.00) that will be deducted from the bank account. The transaction will appear on your bank account transaction history as “Money Transfer Authorized on [date] from [cardholder name] card [last four digits of card number]”.
  • You will need to return to the Debit Card Transfer page in the Online Account Center or mobile app, where the registration process can be completed. 
    • You will need to enter the confirmation code associated with the one-time test transaction.

After confirming the test amount, the third-party debit card will be registered and transfers from that account to the Netspend can begin right away.
